I know a bunch of people who need to read this book. They always whine about life being hard, and I just want to knock some sense into them. Maybe this book can do it for me...

Default Whine Society

You'd have to get them to read it. Most people like that don't want to change...just want to whine. The book does put things into perspective though. Just reading through the posts. If you like The World is Flat a book I'm reading is As the Future Catches You. It sure is interesting how fast the world is changing. We're going to have to all stop whining and start competing if we don't want to become a third world country. I think our schools do a pretty good job overall but there are too many kids who whine about working in class and unfortunately a few too many parents who stick up for them. Ah yes. The whine society.

My favorite book is Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. It is a fictional account of the world destroying itself and people being on an island and having to reproduce and evolution of beings for the climate....interesting read.
